Is This The Best Band Name Ever?

In one of my bands, we couldn't decide on a name. The usual names were suggested and many either didn't fit us or were already taken. With too many cooks in the kitchen I looked to Google about this topic to see if I could find something creative to suggest. What I found were a plethora of really stupid, bad names - not to my surprise - but one bands name and it's story of how it came to be, really made me laugh.

Apparently this band that would routinely go to their local Goodwill store to shop for clothing in the men's section to wear on stage. It seems that every time they visted the store, they'd come across mechanics shop shirts. One in particular had the name tag "Mike" stiched on it. Right now you're probably thinking this is going to be about the band "Mike and the Mechanics" . . . but it's not.

Weeks and months passed with the customary "Mike" sighting when one day something changed. While perusing the shirt racks, one of the band members excitedly shouted - "Hey guys, look! Mike got promoted!" He then held up the latest shop shirt and behold Mike's shirt had the title of "Manager" added to it! 

And this is how the band "Mike Got Promoted!" got their name!

Is this not the best band name ever? Or at least the best story of how a band got there name?
